                Lagniappe ................... what did you say?

Pronounced (Lan'Yap'):  Lagniappe is a commonly used term in the south, especially where I was born, Louisiana.  Lagniappe is a french word used to refer to a small gift, or as we like to use it, "a little somethin extra". 

               Shipping & Handling

Size, shape and weight of the furniture and/or accessory item will determine how it is shipped.  Size limitations enforced by UPS and FedEx limit the number of items we ship using their services.  All items to large for UPS or FedEx will be shipped Motor Freight.  For purchases that have both Motor Freight items and UPS/FedEx items, the items will be shipped Motor Freight.  Motor Freight shipments are delivered inside your front door or garage and do not include unpacking or moving.  All listed shipping charges are for deliveries within the continental United States.If you have further questions about our shipping policy please contact us at 225.223-6867 or E-mail us at: CustomerService@LagniappeHome.com .Freight charges for orders that are cancelled after being shipped, but prior to delivery, are non-refundable. 

                    Delivery

Because of a unique product warehousing strategy, most of our customers favorite items are available for prompt shipment when featured with our base white fabric cushions. For furniture that requires upgraded fabric cushions, please allow 3-4 weeks for shipment. If delivery is to be more than 45 days you will be notified. For all items that are in stock you should expect delivery within 10-14 days from receipt of your order.  For all items that are not in inventory and or placed on back order expect 10-12 weeks for delivery.  Your street address, 2 telephone numbers are required to arrange furniture deliveries.                                    

                 Back Orders

We will contact you if there is to be any extended delay in shipping your order. If we are unable to deliver part of your order you will be notified of the status of the remaining items on your order.  Credit card purchases for items that are on back order, LagniappeHome will process the order, collecting all billing, delivery information and payment information at the time you place your order.

                           Damaged Merchandise

Inspect the furniture while the delivery person is still at your home/office.  Preferably, inspect the furniture for damage prior to it being unloading from the truck.  If damage to furniture or to the packaging of the furniture item is visible prior to the departure of the driver, you have the right to refuse delivery.  In this case, LagniappeHome will replace the item(s).  If damage is detected after the driver has left, please report the damage to our office either by telephone or email within 3 days of delivery.  If LagniappeHome receives a report of damaged furniture within the first 3 days of delivery we will replace the item.  If damaged furniture is reported after 3 days of delivery, but not longer than 10 days after delivery, LagniappeHome will replace the furniture.  However, in this case,  the customer is responsible for cost of shipping item(s) back to our warehouse.  In either case, when shipping item(s) back to our warehouse it is required that the item(s) are packaged as they were originally received.  After the 10th day of receiving the furniture or accessory item LagniappeHome  will not replace damaged items.  LagniappeHome Furniture guarantees that your furniture will leave the warehouse and arrive at your home/office unblemished.  If events happen to where this is not the case, as stated above, LagniappeHome will replace damaged items at no additional cost to our customer. 

                 How to order online

All items on our website with a price and item number can be purchase on this website.  A complete description of the item you are interested in is located directly above its price and item number.  After viewing picture of the item you are interested in, reviewing its product description and dimensions and have made a decision to purchase the item, go to the bottom of the page and you will see the items product number, name and price.  Type in the quantity of the product you have decided to purchase and click on the shopping cart.  If you are now ready to check out, click the order box next to the item that you want to order. Simply follow the instructions on the order form. You will need to provide us your name, your billing address, your shipping address, payment information and (2) two telephone numbers.  We handle the rest. You can of course place your order by calling our office at 225.636.5578 or you may elect to fax your order to us: 225.615.7882. Be sure to include your full name, address, credit card information and (2) two telephone numbers.   

     Changes to Orders with Upgraded Cushions

With the exception of damage, cushions are non-refundable.  All cushions are custom made using your upgraded fabric selection. The credit for furniture orders being canceled (after 48 hrs. of the purchase) will be deducted 10% for the cost of the upgraded fabric cushions. Orders that include a fabric upgrade and then need to cancel or change the customer needs to contact our office or email us at CustomerService@LagniappeHome.com and state your needs within 48 hours of the original purchase.  Changes or cancellations after 48 hours will be subject to a charge of 10% of your order for the cost of the cushions. 

          Return and Exchange Policy

For reasons other than damage if you are not satisfied with your furniture item simply return it within 10 days of the date your furniture arrives at your home/office for a refund.  The returned item(s) has to arrive at our warehouse in the same condition it was shipped.  Customer is responsible for repacking the returned item for for shipping prior to shipment.  Customer is responsible for all shipping fees when returning an item.  For items that arrive damaged LagniappeHome will exchanged the item at no charge to the customer.  Custom Furniture Orders/Discontinued Items:  Some furniture collections are custom made per order.  With the exception of damage, all such furniture orders are final.  If a custom furniture item(s) arrives damaged, LagniappeHome reserves the right to replace that item with a new item. 

                Payment

Payment is taken at time of order.  You may pay for your purchase through our secure website payment system using American Express, Mastercard or Visa credit cards.

                Sales Tax

Louisiana residents only, add 9% sales tax to your final cost of merchandise. 

                Natural Fibers

Rattan, Seagrass, Banana Leaf, Abaca, Wicker or all natural fibers.  As such, each material will slightly differ from other like items in its natural coloring and it the way it accepts finishing materials.  Each item will have its own unique feature making no two items the exact same.  If you are purchasing a complete room of furniture at the same time you will minimize color/shading differences.  If you are add an item that belongs to a furniture collection that you have purchased in the past and matching shades/coloring is important to you, consider emailing LagnappeHome a current photograph of the furniture collection currently in your home that you would like to match your new piece with. 

                  Disclaimers

Dimensions: The majority of our furniture items are handcrafted and all dimensions are provided as approximations.  Errors:  The majority of our items are made of natural fibers such as rattan, seagrass, abaca, wicker and each of these products will have its own unique finish.  i.e. If a rattan chair shows on this website as dark brown, there is no guarantee that the rattan chair that you purchase will have the same shade of brown as the one in the picture.  To avoid any confusion, and if you have specific shade needs, please feel free to contact us and we can always try to match your shading needs.  Also, actual finishes may vary from what is seen on the website due to scanning process and your color monitor.  LagniappeHome does try to make every effort to make sure that what is delivered to your home is what was represented to you.LagniappeHome’s Mahogany wood items feature unique markings and splits that are intended to individualize this distressed piece of furniture.
